Privacy Policy
1. Overview
HDMI Monitor - Cine (“the App”) is a professional iPad cinema and field monitor for live HDMI/UVC video. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App uses and how it is handled.
We do not sell personal data. We do not use the App for advertising tracking.
2. Information the App uses
The App may access the following on-device permissions only to provide monitoring features:
- Camera / external video input — to display live video from a connected HDMI/UVC capture device (or the device camera as a fallback for preview).
- Microphone / capture audio — to show audio meters from the connected capture source.
- Photo Library (add only) — to save a still frame when you tap Still.
- Files / Documents — to import
.cubeLUT files and store monitoring presets and your LUT library locally on your device.
Video and audio are processed on your device for live monitoring. They are not uploaded to our servers.
3. Data we collect
The App does not require an account and does not collect analytics, advertising identifiers, or contact information by default.
Content you create or import (presets, LUTs, stills you save) remains on your device unless you choose to share or back it up through Apple system features (for example iCloud Photos, if enabled by you).
4. How we use information
- To provide live monitoring, scopes, guides, LUT application, and related tools.
- To save stills to Photos when you request it.
- To store your LUT library and monitoring presets locally.
5. Sharing
We do not share personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising. We may disclose information only if required by law, or to protect rights and safety where legally necessary.
6. Data retention
Because monitoring data is processed on device, there is no server-side retention of your video/audio feed. Local presets, LUTs, and Photos stills remain until you delete them or remove the App.
7. Children’s privacy
The App is a professional media tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Your choices
- You can deny Camera, Microphone, or Photos permission in iPad Settings.
- You can delete imported LUTs and presets from within the App / Files.
- You can delete the App to remove local App data.
9. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
